Turned uprights, architectural blocks and finials give the frame its strong vertical structure.

The footboard repeats the panelled construction, centred by a particularly good carved floral panel within an oval reserve, with incised decoration running across the upper and lower rails. The four corner posts combine turned sections, fluting and stepped architectural detailing.

Constructed predominantly in oak, with a warm aged surface and visible grain throughout. The bed dismantles into headboard, footboard and side rails.
