Flat, gently shaped arms rest on tapering square supports with collars. The front legs are square and taper to neat spade feet, while the back legs splay outwards. There are no stretchers, which keeps the outline clean and architectural.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe drop-in seat is covered in red crackle-texture leatherette with a close-nailed stud border.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eStamped “W.B.L.R.” to the frame. The same mark appears on other good-quality Edwardian chairs, including a set of six inlaid mahogany dining chairs sold at Christie’s. It is most likely the mark of an as-yet-unidentified manufacturer that made chairs for retailers.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eCondition: structurally sound and solid. The drop-in seat is neat top and bottom, with the original-style webbing underneath intact.
