Arts & Crafts Newlyn School Eustace Brothers Embossed Copper Galleon Fireplace Screen Manner of John Pearson | Wrought Iron Fire Guard 95cm
Exceptional Arts & Crafts Eustace Brothers copper fireplace screen (fire guard) in the manner of John Pearson, Newlyn School, Cornwall, early 20th century. The finely hand-embossed and repoussé copper panel depicts a majestic galleon sailing ship in full sail on a choppy sea, executed with the distinctive skill and nautical detail characteristic of Pearson and the Newlyn School.
Presented in a robust black wrought iron frame featuring elegant scrolling, twisted uprights, leafy finials, and decorative spade feet. The copper displays a rich, naturally aged patina.
