A distinctive French Art Deco Moustache club armchair, c.1930s, defined by its characteristic double-curved crest, generous cigar-shaped arms and wonderfully squat proportions.
The original period frame has been reupholstered in tan leather, likely during the mid-to-late 20th century, with traditional close-nailed detailing to the shaped rear panel. The seat cushion has recently received a sympathetic replacement leather top, retaining its existing sides and piping.
A particularly characterful example of the classic French club chair, with excellent sculptural form and naturally aged leather.
Good vintage condition with expected marks, wear and tonal variation consistent with age and use.
Collection by appointment from The Hop Farm, Paddock Wood, Kent TN12 6PY. Delivery quoted before you buy – please get in touch.
