A glamorous Italian two-tier drinks trolley from the 1970s–80s, with a gilt brass-plated tubular frame, a smoked glass top tray and a smoked mirror glass lower tray. It's proper Hollywood Regency style, and still a great way to wheel the drinks out.

The rounded rectangular frame holds the two trays, each with its own tubular gallery rail so nothing slides off. Both trays lift out for easy cleaning, and they sit steady on small suction pads. U-shaped handles rise at each end, there's a four-ring bottle holder on the lower tier, and looped tubular stretchers run along the base on each side. It all sits on four castors.

The design matches labelled examples by Morex, the Italian maker known for gilt tubular trolleys like this, with the same frame, end handles and galleried trays. This one has no label or maker's mark, so we're describing it as attributed to Morex.

Lovely as a bar cart or serving trolley, or as a stylish spot for plants and books.

Condition: Good vintage condition, with wear consistent with age. There is some wear, light pitting and tarnishing to the gilt plating, mainly on the lower frame and castor housings, and light marks to the glass and mirror. All four castors are present and running smoothly.
