A tall 1960s free-standing shelving unit in teak and black-finished steel, British or Scandinavian in design.
Two slim steel ladder frames, each with an open rectangular top and a single cross rung, stand on solid teak sledge feet. Between them sit three adjustable teak shelves and a teak chest of three drawers, held on Robex internal brackets.
The drawers are properly made, with dovetailed joints, and each has a pair of small angled teak pulls. The deeper bottom shelf sits above the chest, with two shallower shelves over it, giving room for books, records and display pieces as well as closed storage below.
It stands on its own with no need to fix it to a wall, and the back of the chest is finished, so it works well as a room divider. It also comes apart for easier transport.
Condition: Good vintage condition, with a few small scuffs here and there.
