A beautifully proportioned set of four mid-century dining chairs, combining warm hardwood frames with rich chocolate-brown upholstered seats and backs.

Particularly attractive is the construction of the seat: the slender tapered front legs extend above the seat rail, neatly cradling the upholstered pad within the frame, while shaped side rails sweep upwards towards the gently curved back supports.

The floating upholstered back, open lower section and restrained frame give the chairs a wonderfully light architectural quality. Their compact proportions make them particularly useful around smaller dining tables, while remaining comfortably scaled as adult dining chairs.

The brown upholstery works beautifully against the warm timber and gives the set a quietly sophisticated 1960s/70s character.

Presented in good vintage condition with light marks, scuffs and wear consistent with age and use. No maker’s label has been found.
